started Singithi Pre-school with the generous
assistance from Hilfswerk fur Menschen in
Not e.v. Germany. |

| During
the past 20 years, more than 5000 kids have
graduated from our kindergarten. |

| We
have now expanded our service to about 120
kids /year with four qualified teachers
and aids |

| Prasanna Pre-school
was established in Aluthgama in 1990 with
20 kids. This school is very close to Bentota
Holiday Resort and the student intake increased
from 20 to 60 kids in 2002. |

| The Demanhandiya
Orphanage was opened in 1990 for destitute
children from the age of 04 to 16 years
on island wide basis. At present, sixteen
boys are accommodated in the orphanage and
we provide food, clothing, health care and
education facilities in nearby government
schools. |

| Extra activities
have to be provided for these orphans as
they have to face the world on their own
when they leave the orphanage. |
| |
| Most orphans
are well talented in athletics and field
events. Some are interested in music. For
the benefit of orphans we have planned their
future development. |
